“Saheed Anil Kumar Singh, IPS (Retd.) Yojna for children"
Under
“Bihar Brains Talent Search Scheme"

Aim & objective

The aim is to start a scholarship in the name of Late Sri Anil Kumar Singh, IPS (Retd.). Shri Anil Kumar Singh retired from IPS (Bihar Cadre) in 2002 after a highly decorated career. He was one of the most respected police officers of Bihar. He was practising in Patna High Court after his retirement, providing free legal help to the needy.

On 4th June, 2006, he was on his way to Mumbai, when his train was invaded by 6 armed robbers. On seeing helpless passengers being robbed, he confronted the robbers alone, armed with nothing, and in the process got shot.
