BB Local Meet at Hotel Rajasthan Patna: Mrs. Manju Singh, Wife of Late DIG , A Special Guest

May 18, 2007: BB organized local member meeting at Hotel Rajasthan for the formal announcement for BiharBrains as registered society and to discuss on many other issues. On this occasion, Sri Ajay Kumar Thakur, Hon’ble Secretary cum commissioner of Dept of Science & Technology was the chief guest , Mrs. Manju Sinha (Wife of late Slain DIG Sri Anil Kumar Singh) Dr. J.Thakur ,EX-VC Patna university were the special guest.
In a four hour meeting, presided by Sri Bibhuti Bikramaditya, He announced that BiharBrains Became First International Society for NRIs and Educated People of Bihar who live in different parts of India and Abroad,NRIs. While presiding the meet, he also informed that Bihar Brains was established on online as a group on Yahoo group on oct4, 2004 and within a short span of time, around 1100 online members and around 200 local members have been involved in taking part in the serious discussion at their 18 chapters in India and abroad. These chapters are USA, UK,Germany, Australia,Saudi Arabia, UAE,South Korea, Singapore ,Delhi, Patna , Ranchi, Jamshedpur,Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore,Pune , Motihari ,& Janipur (Sitamarhi) etc. This is to be noted that BiharBrains has become successful in executing no of programs and events (More than 20) during these two years of its establishment including Global Bihar Meet, recently organized by Bihar Times and IHD,New Delhi in association with Bihar Govt. BiharBrains is a platform for all NRIs and educated people of People of Bihar who give their ideas of projects , shares their gives on projects to implement in Bihar. 1.Hon’ble Secretary, S&T On IISER & Technical education Policy of Bihar:

While delivering key note address, Sri Ajay Kumar Thakur emphasized the need for revamping technical education in Bihar with the help of all govt and non govt agencies. He announced that Bihar Govt is in the process of establishing Knowledge Park with the help of ICICI bank and other investors. He also put his point for the formation of Technology vision group under PPP (Private partnership Program) program in which all private agencies will be invited for the establishment of Technical institutions in association with govt of Bihar.
He also announced that Bihar Govt is now taking matter of the establishment of IISER (Indian Institute for Science Education & Research) in Bihar for which BiharBrains started a compaign. He appreciated BiharBrains for this Herculean task.
2. On SciTechFest,2007:
During fours hours local BiharBrains, BB meet, members decided to organize Three days State level SciTechFest 2007 from Nov 23-25, 2007 in which 100 local researchers from graduate level to Research Level will show open demo of their projects and 100 companies of India and abroad will be invited to install their stalls to show their product demo. Details of which are being attached with this press release.
Prof Santosh Kumar, EX-HOD CWRS, NIT will be the co-ordinator of this event.
He will prepare Budget very soon and will submit to BB within few days.

3. on Late Anil Kumar Singh Yojna
BiharBrains is also going to start Late Anil Kumar singh yojna for needy talent in Gaya dist of Bihar. As per this scheme, 15 students of class 6 will be selected through dist level test examination and will be given Rs 250/- per month till the completion of their matriculation (Class 10th). This scheme will be launched in the dist of Gaya on June 4, 2007 on the occasion of the death anniversary of Sri Anil Kumar singh and scholarship will awarded on Nov 10, 2007 on occasion of his birth day. This was decided in presence of Mrs. Manju Singh, wife of Late Slain DIG who died while fighting bravely with criminals in a train at Rajendranagar Terminal, Patna, a year ago.

Sri Amalendu Narayan Sinha, EX-Editor Hindustan Times will be responsible for this project and will submit his budgetary report and discuss with BB members and Mrs. Manju Singh very shortly to finalize the yojna .
5. BB Perfomers: During Meeting Mr. Bibhuti Bikramaditya remembered performers of BiharBrains members during these two years and announced their name and gave words of praise for their valuable contribution towards achieving goal of the society. The names of all performers will be announced very shortly to group members. The special thanks were given to Sri Vijay sharan for his work towards the registration of the society. Ms. Julie was also given words of praise.
In this meet, 24 members including Prof S.P Verma(EX-HOD ,Physics, Patna Science College),Dr. Dolly Sinha(HOD ,Physics& Computer Science , Magadh Mahila College,Patna), Dr. B.K.Sharma(HOD,Electronics, NIT,Patna),Prof Santhosh Kumar(EX-HOD CWRS,NIT,Patna),Prof Bharti S.Kumar ,Dept of History ,Patna University) Sri Amalendu Narayan Sinha, noted journalist ,EX-Editor ,Hindustan times,Sri Ajay Kumar,editor,BiharTimes were also present on this occasion.
